Discovery Zone - Mall of Luv / album announcement

"Mall of Luv,” the first single from Discovery Zone's new album Quantum Web, unfurls an infinite floor plan of glistening synths and electro beats, animated by rolling basslines and city pop sax accents. JJ Weihl, the New York born, Berlin based musician and multi-media artist behind the Discovery Zone moniker, provides captivating topline melodies on “Mall of Luv” bearing just enough pitch correction and effects processing to make us wonder if the voice we’re hearing is human. Part paean to the gilded grandeur of commercialism, part tongue-in-cheek nod to the corporate control of our society, we step into the "Mall of Luv" with Discovery Zone and perhaps we decide, like her, to live inside of it.

The second album “Quantum Web” will be out March 8th in cooperation with RVNG Intl. You can preorder it via Bandcamp / our Webshop or get the limited vinyl edition with a holographic sticker over at HHV!

Pictorial Candi - FIRST SNOW

As you might be painfully aware: It’s winter now. It is what it is. To celebrate the first snow, Pictorial Candi made a song. It’s called….FIRST SNOW

In her words, the song is about “the first snow that falls in town. How the street dies like a virgin with a veil over her head, even though she's been defiled and spit on. Hoping death can be gracious like that.”

It’s also got some rather naughty lyrics, I must say.

That’s it for now! 2023 has been a pretty good year for the label despite all the challenges: We put out two beautiful albums: J. Vague - SILVER and Meagre Martin - Gut Punch plus a number of singles. Thanks for your support and see you in 2024!
